After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

will it fit my S24?  Rancilio
I don't believe it will fit your machine c man You have a screw in the filter screen on a commercial type group head

@KK ... You won't be disappointed!  I know the Bezzera screens are particularly good quality but these are a step-up again.
Thanks Brett Not sure if it will alter the lever machine water flow due to spring pressure feed - if it does then all the better But I like the idea of clean KK
  • The IMS competition shower screen just arrived in the post box Lucky it got here safe - as the box was open So far the initial water flow tests conducted on the Strega Lever, confirm what was captured on the video The PF seal is a tiny bit looser than the original Bezzera but does not impede the use of the Strega Quality of the unit is very high At this point I just took a couple of photos to post and will report back when the Strega heats up to make a coffee The new IMS unit Attachment not found.Attachment not found.
  • Welcome to the El-smuggo club!!! ;)
  • Well the 2 doubles and 2 singles I have made with the new screen were nice I had to adjust the grind much finer with the IMS screen then when I use the original But when dialed in it pours just as nice as using the original screen Taste comparisons in the next few days is in order KK
  • I'm jealous Maybe I will just take mine off and see how that goes?
  • An update is in order now that the  IMS laser screen has been in place for almost 3 weeks It only took me a couple of sessions to pinpoint the correct grind and tamp that I needed to achieve my preferred pour Today is the first day since installing the Laser screen that I have removed it to see how it performed in stopping coffee grind fines from passing into the head side Result is a lot better that the standard screen but not perfect I observed that some coffee grind fines did pass through - but the water dispersion head itself remained pretty clean So for that I a pretty pleased KK [attachimg=1][attachimg=2]
  • I've noted similar results KK.  Better but not perfect. The big difference for me is the much more even water dispersion!

Yes I have had the same observation and results Water dispersion is more spread out and even Overall very happy with the IMS screen KK
  • Hello Cremas and coffee enthusiasts out there I have received an extra IMS competition laser cut water screen Apron its arrival I contacted the distributors Dolo to inform them of the double up and asked what is the next course of action I got a reply with words to the affect that I am able to keep the spare IMS unit with compliments and can keep or do with it as I see fit I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE IT AWAY TO A GOOD HOME However there is a catch 1) You're machine needs to have an E61 style head and accept the push on E61 style water screen 2) You need to actively participate and post on the Crema Forum threads that appeal to you 3) A minimum of 60 posts is fair for a one month period ( That's 2 posts a day ) 4) Follow up with a review ( that's only fair ) In return I will post it to the winner at my cost Who is up to the challenge KK
  • Dolo had a stand at the Lygon St Festa yesterday and I found the owner (Andrea) is a nice guy and passionate about things. He reckons these shower screens are flying out the door and fit all E61 groups. He also had his Orchestrale on duty and it was coping well with demand

Great stuff mate. I like the look of those Orchestrals too! At $27.50 it's a no-brainer!
  • excuse me, but what is an Orchestrals ? Is it a shower screen that plays  music when the water runs through?
  • Just noticed this KK If it's still on offer I'm sure I can meet the "conditions".  :coffee2: Should go well on the Strega (as you have discovered).

Well I do have point 1 covered with the Witch and I see 2 and 4 being an 'automatic' grateful response to your offer. Anyway, it'll be good to 'up the anti' on my forum posting as I'm usually happy to read and rarely comment. Having just overcome the tuning in of the BNZ and loving the outcome in the cup, the laser cut shower screen should add another dimension to my 'espresso experience' based on other comments here. Let me know when and I will PM my details for posting. Cheers, Kev
