After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Hi and apologies if this website is purely for professional baristas!
We have enjoyed 9 years of great lattes from a manual KitchenAid unit until recently when it finally bit the dust. As we now are in a coastal area, some 4 hours from a capital city, our replacement choices were somewhat limited. After some deliberation we opted for a fully automatic Delonghi Eletta and have been driven to despair since purchasing it 6 weeks ago.
We have no chance of making a latte beyond 50 degrees.
My question is - can one reasonably expect to have a decent latte (ie one that is not tepid) from an automatic machine or have I been told a great big fib by Bing Lee.
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
