After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Anyone know anything about Bezzera C2013 Compact 2-Group?

I've seen one come up for sale in the local paper(!) for around $500. I asked them to send a few photos, and from what I can see it looks in pretty good condition - has just sat unloved in storage for a couple of years.

Worth a punt?

Looks like I might have been too late while I dithered. Someone else already going to view it, and I'm stuck at work.

    I don't know the machine but any commercial 2 group I working order for $500 is a great buy. Check power requirements though as it could be 10A or 15A. Cheers :) Paul K Bean - Dream Machines

    It won't be 10A. If it's single phase it'll be 15A or 20A. Definitely worth finding out. $500 is no longer cheap if you need $500+ of electrical work done to be able to use it. Also if you get a chance to view it - CHECK THE INTERNALS!! This will be telling although even then not always definitive.     Hi eggbert... is this for a business project or home resto pleasure ? Leroy's tasty scale infested boiler pics is a good reminder of what goes on out of sight and to factor in extra dough.  :'( On the Bezzera site it seems to indicate 2800 watts which certainly goes in to the 15 amp world.

    nah I've got a fair sized coffee gig in September which I need one for but fund's are tight presently so I might be better off renting ...

    Unfortunately I missed out on it as someone beat us to viewing it. I previously had a 2 group Rancilio which I got a sparky to disengage one of the elements, and ran off a 10amp plug. Took an extra couple of minutes to heat up but was perfectly fine. At this house though, the machine would be situated outside, under the house, and it will be easy to get 15A to it. Just a shame we missed out on it.

    bummer well these things do tend to crop up from time to time especially if you're willing to pay shipment from interstate - but then all of a sudden its no longer such a bargain by the time you factor in freight etc... p
