After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

interesting article on coffee in ABC news today

hi all

here's a link to an article which supposedly is about speciality coffee but actually it seems to be more about the roasting process

I don't agree with all of the sentiments expressed but for the most part it seems to be factuality accurate and it makes for informative reading

you're welcome!

  • Wow! A mainstream news article full of accurate facts about coffee. They still generalise a bit and don’t delve too deeply, but I didn’t see anything grossly incorrect in there. I suppose it helps when the experts you quote are actually experts. There wouldn’t be many members here that don’t already know this stuff, but it’s a great read for the uninitiated that might be wondering about all the jargon they see and read at times. Thanks for sharing.
  • Finally read it.  Terrific!  what stroke of genius to ask a celebrated industry professional rather than Dr Google.  quite refreshing really :D
  • Yeah wow, a really great article, I learnt some stuff from it too :)
  • yeah I thought it was very informative and well informed not sure the facts about wet processing are quiet accurate but otherwise I thought it was very well written! pat
