  Good point. The average joe wouldn't know what an E61 is or what it "stands" for in terms of it being the mother of the modern heat exchanger commercial espresso coffee machine...therefore why name a cafe after it unless you are going to have one in the place to attract custom (by virtue of it's retro looks with pretty green light behind the glass face plate, if nothing else....), and then breifly explain what it means, for example on the back of each menu or something like that. Otherwise, it would appear to be a waste of a perfectly good "angle" to attract custom, atleast at first. FC.

  Hi mr fresh coffee last time that i had a good look at my fantastic ECM it had great legs great gandles amd a very sexy set of E61 group heads and by the way if you say that they are just spare parts on the coffee machine i dont think that is how you promote the one,s you have for sale on your coffee machines on this site do you.have a great day and stop kocking other peoples work of art specially when they make fantastic coffee.

  Hi Mr. Lone Barista,         looks like you have misunderstood the subject matter or intent of the discussion in the last few posts....we have been writing / surmising about a cafe name & the fact that the machine it is named after apparently is not in use or on show there!     The rest is academic. E61 spare parts do not maketh an E61 espresso coffee machine, particularly in the context of the discussion where presumably the cafe management are trying to cash in on the legend of the model by using its name. No one that I know of knocked your machine, the way it looks, or the way it makes coffee! Cheers,   FC

  Hi mr  fresh coffee you stated that the ECM coffee machine does not have E61 group heads,well do they or not.last time i made a great coffee it was right there in front of me.

  Afraid you are mistaken old bean as I stated nothing of the sort...I asked a question...& if you go back and re read the post you will also notice I asked if anyone would clarify. You will also notice the reference was to a 2 group machine, not a 1 grouper as I imagine yours must be. ECM's of various models have differing groups dont they? Once again, someone in the know please feel free to clarify. While you are checking all this really important stuff, please recheck my last post regarding misunderstanding the context of the discussion in toto. Cheers, FC.

  ECM and E-61 Group Heads To the best of my knowledge the Veneziano, the Michaelangelo and the Giotto range of ECM espresso machines have E-61 style group heads. HOWEVER:::::: The Raffaello range of ECM espresso machines does not have E-61 group heads. This may be where some of the confusion came from. The Michaelangelo range has a spring piston pre-infusion chamber. The Veneziano has a pre-infusion chamber plus progressive pre-infusion piston. The Giotto has a professional heavy duty brewing group with progressive coffee infusion. I believe that the group heads are similar in design to the original E-61, however they have been re-engineered by ECM. JD
