Well I'm impatient and couldn't wait until it arrives to tell.

On it's way to me is an 'Original condition' La Marzocco GS2 Paddle 2 group.
It works, but........

Thanks Brett Don't be too jealous yet. I'm going to be on a huge learning curve. Not much to look at at this point, but I'm thinking something along the lines of the Intellengencia coffee GS 2 Time will tell

I love watching the old machines being restored.  Some are just beautiful and it's sad that they are rusting away when people don't want them any more.

Posted By AM in another thread. All is OK, but remember some Tecs may or may not be Electrical focused  And even then some  Electricians just F%$##@ do not know what they are doing... PLC controller ( 3 phase and high power) and the soft keys don't work, because the stand has broken / come away inside. Solution by Electrician = Fill the key pad with superglue and re attach the little push rods.  Yep, looks OK.  OH F^#$^%  the soft tough flexible membrane is now hard and rigid. PS.  Ya contacts ever come across another single or double... Us Queensland people got to stick together. PPS. How is the Misses, We are going through similar if I recall correctly.....

So here I am with the machine at home and I realise it's a GS not a GS2. Oh well, still the machine I wanted. I have photos waiting but I can not find the damn mini USB cable for the camera. Anyway got a bag of goodies too. New motor & pump New group handles & baskets Group head rebuild parts Fuji PID kit and fun times ahead  ;D

Pleased to find out it's only 15 amps, I thought it'd be more. Also pleased to learn I've got a 20 amp circut into the garage. This news makes Ronin a happy little camper. PID controler was missing but arrived in seperate box yesterday, along with some teflon discs needed for the group head. (custom laser cut ones too  ;D, and why not at only $10) Some upgrades to come are  - OPV, boiler safety valve, anti siphon valve, PID heating controls, updated and safer wiring, body/ cosmetic mods., steam wand conversions. I'm thinking it needs a name and a theme for the cosmetic mods. Any suggestions?

I made some good progress on Sunday. Made a wiring diagram of existing wiring (was crumbling to touch)'s Removed wiring Removed most of the plumbing. Removed Steam element (sludge in your coffee anyone) Removed 1 group head. Found some damage to the removed group, not bad and should be fixable. Bent brass leaver for the paddle. Photo's uploaded prob tomorrow

Almost completely stripped now. Made a tool to remove the dispersion plate, and need another to remove the rest of the group internals. Did have my first trouble this morning tho. I broke a 4 way piece off trying to remove it. They are only about $20 tho, so not too much damage. I just need to get the broken piece out now. Also having trouble getting the end plates off the brew boiler. Think I'll need to invest in a propane burner to loosen it up.
