After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

New collar for Suzique

edited August 2012 in Espresso Machines

Suzique

Your system is ready to go.

You also have a little work to do

1:  It has had a leak at some stage and some water may have started some corrosion around the key pad.

Working for me at this point in time.

2: Both shower screens need work...  I am too old and blind... needle work needed. (a point that many miss)

3:  Very tight to lock in but I think due to the new style / improved collar.

4: The sweet spot is at 12.

5: HW wand dirty... This is not for steaming or frothing hot chocolate drinks

Every thing else considered a machine in good condition...

PS.  You will need to off set the OVERDOSING with quality beans and the right grind and dose level

  • Wow, that was a quick turnaround, and I see I have some homework!  HW wand is probably from using soya milk...it does tend to build up, or I could blame the kids and their hot chocolates!! I'll have to take a good look at the shower screens.....and I'll probably need a magnifying glass too:)  Not something I even thought of.  Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.  Nice to know there is someone out there that can help in my quest for better coffee!
  • Good coffee starts with good knowledge of the process But the item that all other steps follow is Fresh roasted coffee  :thumb: Hi - AM  :D
  • Three cheers for AM  :thumb:
  • I really do have too ask, what do you mean when you say you use the HW wand for soy milk?  Doesn't water come out of it?

I wondered this as well but perhaps the op uses powdered soy and uses the hot water to disolve it like the chocolate powder.
  • Sorry, I got my "wands" mixed up....I was thinking steaming wand (which I do use for soya milk). I hardly ever use my HW wand, so was quite surprised with how dirty it was.  Just goes to show.... I learnt lots of handy things yesterday, am looking forward to putting it all into practice.  Thanks again AM...you should run "coffee machine appreciation and maintenance" courses!!
