After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Cooking with Coffee

edited January 1970 in Off-topic
Just wanted to know, firstly, how many people actually cook with coffee? I am not just talking about desserts like pears poached in coffee, but more savoury meals?

I have roasted a fillet of beef in coffee, and effectively boiled potatoes in the coffee. The taste was very strong, but in a perfectly harmonious way with the potatos and beef. Great with a good shiraz.

Any other recipes/ideas?

  • Try making a coffee liquire. coffee, sugar, Vanilla bean and your choice of vodka or bourbon. Takes about a month but it is different and sweet.
