After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Anyone know how to dismantle a Krups XP7240?
Hi there,
After a lot of experimentation and adapting to this machine's rather weird way of working, I can now make quite good coffee with it. But I'm sure that even the finest grind setting is way too course for proper espresso. I'm a handy guy and I'm confident I could make it grind finer if I could just get to the innards.
So the question is, how do I open the thing up? I've got my Torx 15 screwdriver and I've got all the obvious fasteners out - but the top is still caught on something. Does any one know the trick? I think it has something to do with a rectangular opening I can see with a metal tab of some sort in it.
Can anyone help? A repair guide would be ideal.
