After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Was inspired by Rie Moustakas,s 4th place during this year,s world latte art championships in Melbourne, her quetzal prompted me to give it a shot during sunday breakfast. Here is the result. What you think? [emoji16]
Cheers mate. Amazing stuff there. Have not seen those before. Lucky for us baristas, we get lots of practise during work to hone our skills. I find saturday night restaurant customers give more wows on latte art since they tend to sporadically frequent specialty cafes if at all. Lets keep those art coming. [emoji4] [emoji328]
Bottom of the cup, tssk tssk should be taken out the back and flogged with old coffee sacks, pick up your game Michael your capable of so much more. >:D ;D ;D ;D Chester

Thanks for the compliments. :D I find that it is easier to steam on lesser holes too. I'm currently using a 4 holes steamer at my work, and the single hole at home. It's both possible to get bubbleless microfoam (after plenty of practising on the 4 holes). But in my experience, they may all look the same but the texture is another thing. And I suspect hole size makes a big difference there. Even though I'm getting such silky-looking foam on the 1 hole, they're still not as silky/integrated (in mouth texture)as compared to the Crossland CC1 machine I used previously. That machine/steamtip produced the best microfoam so far in my journey(including the one I get in cafes). The foam & milk really does not seem to have a separation for a very long time. I supposed even microfoam has different level of microfoam-iness,and latte art is not the best indicator. Here're two more. One on chocolate base (no coffee), another a swan attempt. :P
Well, I was dragged back into the workforce for a couple of weekends recently. (Completely willing. Not every day you get to play with a Strada EP). Latte art was back up to par by my third full day!
