After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
My part time puppy (brother in laws). He's a 2 1/2 year old American bulldog named Casper. Poor boy was born deaf. Gentle giant. Responds to some sign language. He's best mates with my two pups and they celebrate birthdays together. Funny bunch.
Here's a few pics of my second home, a villa in Selong Belanak in Lombok Indonesia. The wife and I escape here as much as we can. The villa we rent is up on the hill with the view of a private beach on one side and the jungle on the other. Absolute Paradise. Edit: forgot to mention is Lombok i where my teak timber slabs came from for my coffee bar at home.
Might as well put up some pics of the most photographed thing on my iPhone - Im sure Kevo will respond with some of his too My 1965 Factory GT Mustang Coupe - fully restored here in Melb in 2013. For those petrol heads on this forum it's running a 347ci, factory 4 speed toploader, locker rear end, a bit shy of 500hp and over 450 ft/lb of torque. It's currently registered with my own car club I founded in 2014.

Looks like an idyllic spot GK. We enjoy SE Asia, off to Thailand in a few weeks, heading for a little town called Mae Hong Son, up on the Thai Burma border, beautiful country. Landing on the air strip is a bit of a thrill, kind of fly in between the mountains. The attached pic gives a bit of an idea.

In my profession many moons ago - I used to blueprint many engines of that era - from Ford, Holden & Chrysler I can still pull apart a carburettor and put it back in my sleep KK

Sounds like a great spot for some R&R. The landing strip sounds like fun [emoji41]How long you up there for? We've been to Thailand but never up north. Mainly BK and Samui.
The Main flue on our afterburner being placed into position earlier today (thank god for some relief from the rain here in Melbourne). After a couple of days trying to work out how to rig up something to pull it through from inside the warehouse, we bit the bullet and used a crane - just 15 minutes. Apologies for the long-range........next door's yard was boggy.

Is this to do with pollution control on your new roaster Mycuppa?

We're the exact opposite GK, been up north a few times, have not been down south. Heather is of to Italy for three weeks, I'm meeting her in Bangkok on her way home, all up we're in Thailand for a couple of weeks, a few nights in Chiang Mai, a week in Mae Hong Son.

Yes DB - the afterburner was custom-built by Mark @ Coffee Roasters Australia - it's quite a big unit actually..........capable of having 2x 60kg roasters operating simultaneously. Inside is starting to look half-decent - it's been a very tough 3 months (and of course lots of $$$) - hopefully we can commission the new platform in the next 3 weeks which should be the fun part. There is still some building works to be completed - Permits are holding that up unfortunately......burning more big holes in my pockets. It's still hard to imagine that relocation takes 4 - 5 months. Not as easy as shutdown, move and power up.
Best seat in the House. Fully Functional. Also a first rough attempt at experimenting with some form of "watermarking". I have some nice photos taken on latest trek, that I wouldnt like others to lift and use elsewhere...
Here are three more from the nursery. The silver/grey tinge amongst the leaves in one of the photos is the "parchment" skin that covers the seeds (beans) when they are planted. You can see the rows in which the are planted, and how they are removed for transplanting. The farmers in this Coop had planted more than they needed, and were in the act of taking 20,000 seedlings out to donate to a neighbour community that has been less fortunate with their plantings. Good people. The seedlings are individually checked before selection to transplant into the tubes in one of the photos. Its labour intensive however in that way, there is a better success rate with healthy seedlings eventually being planted out into the field. All these seedlings are for replacement into existing "plantations", where for whatever reason individual plants or an area needs to be replanted
Mother and Son. Crisp winter morning in the paddock. *Almost* mirror finish on the dam...was fantastic until the ducks landed a bit farther along, and just had to take the shot lest the horses decided to move away.
